其二是我做過Ackoff 八十華誕文 正想做他九十的
今天知道他過去了
BY STEPHEN MILLER An evangelist of the big picture, Russell Ackoff was a management theorist who helped U.S. corporations by reimagining their challenges as opportunities to restructure. Mr. Ackoff, who died Oct. 29 at age 90, was an expert in conceptualizing problems. He liked to say they came in three flavors: problems, messes and puzzles, and each needed its own distinctive toolkit. 今天的日子大約這樣過的
四點半起床 一小時多出去搭公車
在金門拿船票說錯港口 水頭港(鄭成功故鄉)說成廈門的五通港 因為我經常重那兒回金門
拿到票時 我知道錯了可是辦事員嘴臉難看 我火大就搭船到五通 因為沒手機 我也沒臉跟人借 只好到碼頭借電話
希望接我的車子改到這 可是無法通 所以我上計程車去找接我的另一碼頭之車 哈哈 老師說 我連碼頭名都忘啦
這是花錢能消災的事
工廠的auditing 搞到晚上九點半
回宿舍準備一套 six sigma introduction之ppt
與法國美國通信
好豐功說完 回到KEVIN的說法
當初想到CONTROL CHART 主要是已知母體有兩種文字和 兩層字數 PPT
我從Joiner 學到 先確定系統穩定才做估計和推論 只有這樣 沒什麼

Dear Bill, David, and J-M,
As you many know that this year we published two books: Transformation and . Our second day was a lecture for Tunghai University graduate students and outside people fromTaichung area.
The style of lecture was like Bill delivered excellently last year. But I learned a lesson from last year so I mentioned to the audience, that in order to win a second book, The Essential Deming , the students need to do a sampling excercise to estimate the numbers of "words" of Transformation.
Attached are the students' excercise in Chinese. If I knew most of them will join the excercise, I should ask them to write in English so that you can full read them.
Although they are all Chinese, I like to invite your inputs on the comments of the excercise.
Few students using operational definitions, no students using control charts. But some using 10 pages or 30 pages of sampling as basises for estimations and confidence intervals building.
Dear friends, I hope this excercise is interesting and I like your comments if possible.

在校園書房有一大堆他寫的科普著作。
至於這些估計各有勝場，只有那些比較合理的問題

這句話可能在12/27說的他去過許多國家 希臘 飛利賓 台灣....所播的火種都熄了 倒不如放鞭炮 最好是直接再問WWS 正如老鼠與牙醫的故事

我讀詩有些囫圇吞棗 鄭愁予及管管的詩我免強讀得來
對這詩的解讀恐怕也有些失真
只望鄭先生莫怪罪 不敢期待他會因此感到驕傲

雖不知出處，但在<<>> 一書中， Practice 4 " Beinga Contribution" 及Practice 9 "Lighting a Spark" 都在說明這個思想；當然火種是不一定會生起熊熊烈火，可能都很快就滅了；但如 Being a Contribution 一開頭的海星故事，對那個被救的海星，那麼其舉止就是有效的。
說到火花，昨天台北在放煙花，我在台中家中也看到大樓前的綠園道也在放小型煙火；最近全世界都流行放煙火，但我有個疑惑，全世界不是都在討論溫室效應，不是都在節能省碳，放煙火不是莫明就多產生了許多二氧化碳了。

Most excercises are quite good.
I can give the books to all with additional reflections or the "book review" for the Transformation 2009. That is, only estimation of the words of it is not qualified to get the book.
I might cite them in 2010 book so I need the file of them which I can cut and paste them.

(1) NOS HOUSE 構建的故事 說明 : 以PDCA的方式說明NOS線的過去現在與未來 和誠報告者必須提出數據和資料作為佐證 這項可能要共8小時或2天--如果無準備 NOS 之制度評價可以分兩種 其一是 Nike 的Metrics yes/nos或 打 分數方式 第二種 是 NOS HOUSE 的成熟方格 (MATURITY GRID) 這相對於前者是"自省"用的 我認為貴公司可以被CERTIFIED 問題是 第一月所提的 可以是"學習型組織"嗎 (2) 檢討為何我們無法適時合作(生產與qc與"工程")來解決問題 我說的是起碼落實Nike 要求的上下午take actions一次 (詳上月報表) concentration charts 和相關的feedback方式的對照 希望有兩條線比較 (一為非nos線) (3) 檢討為何 yamazumi 分析是ok 可實際"平衡" "差很大"的原因 針車的彈性和學習曲線問題 (4) ie 的"理論與實際" 上月"禮儀" 到加工線的問題 (5) 作業說明書諸問題 (6) 訂suggestions 制的可行
