The Institute for Social and Economic Research (ISER) is looking for a Quality Assurance Assistant to join the Understanding Society survey project. Working closely with others in the survey team you will be involved in the extensive checking of survey data received from the external agency that carries out the interviews. This checking involves working with large and complex datasets at a detailed level as part of the quality assurance process prior to the data being further processed and eventually released to analysts.

The successful candidate will be computer literate with a good working knowledge of various standard software packages, as well as an understanding of computer programming concepts, ideally with some experience of software development. Proven ability to analyse complex options and datasets, and to produce high quality work to tight deadlines, are also essential to this role.

This post is fixed-term for one year.
