The French Deming Association was founded in February 1989 by Mr. Jean-Marie Gogue. This initiative was supported by Dr. Deming, who was made Honorary Life Member in July 1989, during a seminar he led in Versailles. We are a learning organization, essentially devoted to education and research, not aimed at profit-making. Our purpose is to help our members and to coordinate their studies, in order to promote a way of management which respects human dignity.

What we need is cooperation and transformation to a new style of management.

展覧会概要


私たちが子どものときに過ごした空間は、原風景として長く記憶に留まり、その後の生き方や考え方の形成に 与える影響は少なくありません。本展は、子どもたちのためにつくられた学びの場と遊びの場の建築と空間のなかから、日本の近現代の建築・デザイン史において、ひときわ先駆的かつ独創的なものを紹介する展覧会です。
日本の近代教育は明治時代に始動し、校舎の建設もそこから始まりました。民衆に愛された明治の擬洋風建築の校舎、大正自由教育の時代の造形豊かな小学校、1970年代の先駆的なオープンスクールなど、さまざまに変遷し子どもたちの活動を受け止めてきました。各建築ごとに、子どもたちが親しみを持てるシンボリックな外観が考案され、心安らぐインテリアの充実が図られるなどの 工夫も重ねられてきました。一方、幼稚園・保育園や、 学校以外の遊び場や読書の空間といった子どもたちの居場所にもユニークな取り組みがあります。それらを、作り手と使い手の両方に着目しながら選んだ写真、図面、 模型といった作品資料の展示を通してごらんいただきます。また、教育玩具や絵本の原画なども選りすぐって紹介します。社会のあり方が大きく変化する現代、本展がこれからの子どもたちが育つ環境づくりのインスピレーションとなれば幸いです。


※ 会期中、一部展示替えします。前期1月12日～2月12日、 後期2月14日～3月24日。2月14日以降に再入館の際は半券ご提示で100円割引となります。
